Beaches

Bloubergstrand and Big Bay are located along the shores of Table Bay, about 20 kilometers to the north of Cape Town city centre. This area is mainly residential and attracts a large number of visitors from across the world. Some visit for the spectacular views of Table Mountain and Robben Island where others come for the long summer days and excellent surfing, kite-surfing and other water sports.

 

Restaurants

The area boasts a variety of restaurants that cater to all tastes and budgets. You can find the usual suspects like Primi-Piati, Ocean Basket, Cape Town Fish Market and Spur as well as some specialised restaurants like Indian Chapter, Moyo and On The Rocks.

Perfect sunsets also abound in Big Bay. Blue Peter restaurant is a favourite for residents and tourists alike.

 

 

Shopping

Eden on the Bay provides a predominantly open air shopping experience at the beach front. Shops include a wide selection of restaurants, fashion and beauty, grocery and professional services. There is plenty of free above ground and underground parking available.

Surfboards and other water sports equipment is available for rental for those who are brave enough to attempt the cool Atlantic Ocean waves. And for those out for a stroll take your dogs along to this pet friendly centre.

There are also three other shopping centres located within a 10 kilometer radius of Big Bay Beach.
